P. Richard Choi: Andrews University Music & Worship Conference (Friday)

P. Richard Choi, PhD, is Professor of New Testament Studies and Chairman of the New Testament Department at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. His areas of expertise are in Paul, Jesus, New Testament Ethics, Intertestamental Literature, and the Septuagint. He contributed numerous articles to both professional and popular journals, and contributed the Introductions and notes to Romans, Galatians, 1 and 2 Corinthians, and Philippians in The Andrews Study Bible. He served as a pastor for eight years in the Southern California Conference of the Seventh-day Adventists. He joined the seminary faculty in 1991. He serves a number of professional scholarly societies in leadership roles. He is currently the Chair of Regional Coordinators in the Society of Biblical Literature, the Vice President of the Midwest Society of Biblical Literature (MWSBL), and the Executive Secretary of the Chicago Society of Biblical Research. He is a former Regional Coordinator of the MWSBL, and a former president of the Adventist Society for Religious Studies. Dr. Choi is married to Louise and has two grown children. His doctorate is from the Fuller Theological Seminary.
