Sung Kwon, national executive director of the North American Division Adventist Community Services, ardently believes that all are called to serve, so his series explores effective ways to live the gospel in this century. He uses biblical principles to discuss social justice and Christian social responsibility. Sung encourages Christians to expand their thinking beyond relief work to include community development.
Kwon is an ordained minister with degrees in theology, business and public administration with concentration in the field of non-profit management. He received the Milton Murray Fellowship to study at Harvard University and was recognized in the “40 under 40 – Dayton’s Brightest Young Business Leaders” in 2000. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in leadership.
Sung is an avid reader with a special interest in non-profit leadership and church-based initiatives. His work takes him to many countries where he is seldom without his camera. Through photography, as seen in God’s Wonderful World, the bonus feature of this series, he’s able to capture the essence of life in different cultures.
Sung is married to Me, his childhood sweetheart, and together they have two children, Teresa and Joshua.
