Needle Craft

1. Do two of the following:

1. Embroider one of the following: dresser scarf, pair of pillowcases, luncheon cloth, or other equivalent article.
   
2. Make a pillow cover or wall hanging, a set of four sachet pillows, or three tree ornaments out of any of the following methods:
   (1)Punch embroidery
   (2)Candlewicking
   (3)Crewel
   
3. Make a pillow cover, wall hanging, cover for chair, footstool, or piano bench in needlepoint or counted cross stitch.
   
4. Make an article using any of the following methods:
   (1)Applique
   (2)Fagoting
   (3)Smocking
   (4)Shirring
   (5)Swedish weaving on linen or huck toweling
   

2. Show articles you have made, using ten of the following stitches:

1. Back
   
2. Blanket
   
3. Braid
   
4. Buttonhole
   
5. Roman
   
6. Chain
   
7. Cross
   
8. Feather
   
9. Fishbone Stem
   
10. French knot
    
11. Heavy chain
12. Herringbone
13. Lazy daisy
14. Long and short
15. Outline
16. Running
17. Satin
18. Split
19. Star filling
20. Stem
21. Whipping

3. Show the correct way of gathering lace and whipping it to hemmed edge.
4. Describe a satisfactory method of keeping your fancy-work equipment in good equipment.
