The Seventh-day Adventist Church has a special mission to preach the good news of salvation to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people (Revelation 14:6). In reaching people from various backgrounds, we are reminded that “lessons must be given in the language of humanity” (The Desire of Ages, p. 34). For this reason, the General Conference Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Department has initiated the Reaching & Winning series of courses on world religions.
There are nearly 75 million Baptists worldwide, second only to Roman Catholics in number. As a Christian community with clear principles, Baptists have made significant theological and ethical contributions to the Protestant tradition. For Baptists all matters of faith and life must be mediated through Scripture.
This course is to be taught in four classes. Each class is planned to be between one and a half and two hours in length, including small-group sessions. It may also be studied personally.
