2026 Adventist Ministries Convention
AMBASSADOR TRAINING Wednesday, January 28, 2026 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Meals not included) The Ambassador Training provides a comprehensive insight into intimate partner violence (IPV) and the resources available to address it. Participants explore the cycles of abuse, theological and cultural considerations, and referral resources and will be equipped to ensure that abuse prevention remains visible and consistently prioritized within their congregations. -------------------------- AMBASSADOR & ADVOCACY TRAINING & CERTIFICATION Wednesday & Thursday, January 28 & 29, 2026 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Meals not included) This training goes a step further by equipping participants to actively engage with and respond to victim-survivors. This in-person program spans two full days, offering extensive training on the dynamics of IPV and how to provide appropriate responses. It builds on all the Ambassador topics while also preparing participants to directly support those experiencing IPV. As an advanced-level training, participants must complete both oral and written assessments in order to be certified as Advocates. This training is especially targeted toward pastors, ministry leaders, and lay leaders who are ready to take on greater responsibility in safeguarding their communities.
