Health Disparities Action Guide

Health disparities, or health inequalities, have for too long been a blight to the lives of many individuals, families, and communities in every nation of the world. There is a temptation to place blame on individuals for their poor health because they make unhealthy choices. But that is only one part of a larger and complex inter-relationship of issues that impacts a person’s health. 

In this Action Guide, we identify some of these pressing issues and consider them from a Christian worldview. Our goal is to increase the compassion of churches and church members when considering the overwhelming situations that lead to disparities in health, and to increase their capacity to make a positive difference.
